I was looking for an inexpensive TV that would fit on a stationary bookshelf in my home office, and this is perfect. The picture is bright and crisp and the sound is good. DVDs load from the side, so you will want to leave some room on the side if you're considering a purchase for a small space, such as I was.
The weight makes it a good TV to move from room to room, also. I can see it being used for the grandchildren to watch or play their videos in another room when they visit instead of using the main TV or my bedroom TV.
