This 15" TV is pretty amazing. No problems so far. The picture is very sharp and bright. It was supposed to take the place of a 9' portable that graced our small kitchen but we had to use an external Antenna which makes the whole procedure too clumsy. It is also affected by the metal boxes, like the fridge & microwave. It now resides on a coffee table in the other room. It does not have a recall button on the remote to bop back & forth between stations. The built-in DVD player has worked well. I've used headphones with it and get excellent sound. We bought this for the kitchen. I'd agree with the low sound reviewers. We like low sound, but have already had to have it up all the way just to hear a kids' movie. It doesn't get any analog channels (or digital) without an antenna, but that's not a huge surprise since we're very rural. A cheapy from the hardware store netted us a handful of grainy channels, so hopefully when we spring for a bigger one, we'll get more. This is a very good unit; the picture quality is great for the price. I haven't tried the dvd, as this unit is in the kitchen, and mostly used for morning and evening news. The text "crawlers" are clear and the color rendition quite faithful. I have quite a few video systems in the house, and this little one holds its own. Significantly better picture than the 19" Sharp! Yes, it's a bit slow to change channels, but that's one of the price/tech trade-offs of a small, lower cost unit. I purchased this TV for our kitchen for my husband's birthday so he could watch his news and sports during dinner. I looked for a long time in the stores for a 15 inch small screen but they just were not out there. The 22 inch was just a little too big for our kitchen counter space. We have the cable "On Demand" box with our main TV and the delay between channels on that is soooo annoying that I was leary of this TV, but decided it seemed to be the best for what we want. I have to say it is EXCEPTIONAL! The delay is not nearly as bad as with the "On Demand" - and really doesn't seem to be that big of a deal. The picture on this TV is unbelievable. We do not have it hooked up to an HD box - but I swear it looks like perfect HD. Amazingly good picture. Color is true and bright and the picture is sooo sharp. I would highly recommend this little TV. It is a great size for a kitchen counter or small space. We haven't tried the built in DVD player yet, but look forward to putting in a DVD of photos and using it as a photo frame/slide show when we have company. Although small, this TV has become the one that we all tend to watch as we hang out in the kitchen together - in a house with a TV in every room! It is ideal for the kitchen counter or on a shelf when space is at a premium.

The built-in stand is not adjustable for viewing angle, and there is quite a waiting period between when the channel is changed and when it actually shows up on the screen. This can be frustrating for the channel changing fool, but it is something we are learning to live with.

I have other LCD flat screen 15" TVs but they are not digital and the screens aren't widescreen. When you use the widescreen ratio on this TV, you have about an 8" picture. The other ratios either cut off the picture on top, bottom and sides, or picture is distorted. It works great and am pleased having the DVD built into the TV and it works great, too. I purchased this TV because the cabinets in my new kitchen were too low to accommodate my old TV sitting on top on the converter box. I liked the low profile and the fact that it was black which would match my appliances. I also appreciated the fact that it was an HDTV even though the DirecTV converter box I intended to use it with was not HD. I purchased this TV for our RV to replace an analog model TV to watch some TV when we are being "rained in" and stuck indoors. I am astounded with how clear and sharp the picture is. We have our RV in a RV park in the Adirondacks and it is connected to the roof antenna of the RV. We use to receive 3 channels and the reception was not always the best. We bought this TV in April 09 for my wife to use in the kitchen as the 15.6" screen is perfect for this location. She enjoys listening to educational DVDs while she cooks and the small size allows the TV to fit out of the way against the wall when not in use. The picture and sound are wonderful; we often use it to watch the news while eating. The rubber base is a nice touch which prevents the TV from sliding around easily on the counter.

I bought this TV for my kitchen to replace a really old CRT model. We purchased this TV mainly for use in our kitchen. It's perfect! No need to install a wall bracket. It comes with it's own stand, so it sits on a shelf or the countertop and takes up VERY little room. Also, we take it out to our deck at night, put it on the patio table, and watch DVDs outside under the stars.

Great picture, very small, lightweight! My ONLY complaint is that the volume is limited. I would like it to be able to go up a little louder. Also, there are no sound controls (bass, treble) to make any adjustments. However, all the inputs are there to hook this baby up to any tuner or entertainment center, and then to external speakers. But if you're just using the speakers in the TV itself, then you don't have any options to speak of.
