I purchased this small Toshiba TV to replace the 1980's antique in our travel trailer. I had also been considering buying a small TV for our kitchen counter. This is the perfect size for both locations. So far, I have only used it in the kitchen, but it fits well on the counter and I am very pleased with the picture and sound quality. I actually think the remote control is superior to the one that came with our 40" Samsung, and I don't notice the time lag in changing channels being much different from the Samsung. I have not yet used the DVD player (other than testing to make sure it works), but I predict I will use it a lot when I am staying in our travel trailer. I was pleased to be able to purchase a name-brand TV at a reasonable price, and I would definitely recommend the Toshiba to anyone who is looking for a small, easy-to-relocate television. Toshiba 15LV505 15.6-Inch Widescreen LCD TV -- The complaints made in other reviews are true re long delay between functions (takes 4-5 seconds for picture/sound to appear when you turn on T.V., and same when changing channels). Also you've got to turn the volume way way up to turn it up. But, the picture is very sharp and clear -- much better even, annoyingly so, than my Sharp Aquos flatscreen hooked up to Cable in the living room. Makes a neat little T.V. for my little kitchen; it delivers the important stuff -- a good picture. But if you're a Type-A personality and have no patience, not the T.V. for you. Haven't tried the DVD player so can't report on that feature.

This TV is very nice, good quality, sharp picture. As I had seen in other reviews there is quite a delay between channels when changing them but all in all it's something you can get used to and it is not too troublesome. We needed to replace an old time tube TV in our kitchen that could fit into an open shelf...and this absolutely did the trick. Resolution and brightness of the picture are very good and we are happy with the purchase. The only thing we do not like at all is the 2" vertical narrow light at the bottom center of the set that glows bright red when the set is off and bright blue when the set is turned on. It is a major distraction in either mode and is completely, in our opinion, unnecessary. Other than that it is a fine value for the price.

This TV looks great in my kitchen. Has excellent picture quality, and the DVD player works perfectly, although I have only used it very few times. It is quite on the low volume side.

I purchased this TV for my travel trailer. The lightweight and beautiful picture is fantastic! Buttttttt- When I use the set while my AC is running I can't hear a thing. Also, when setting it up outside I can't hear the sound. The volume is set on the highest level (50) and the bass and treble are maxed out for normal viewing. This is a great little TV set!

It is easy to program. I must agree that the channel changes are slow. We like the TV remote. The TV set requires 115 Volts AC for the power source; In our case, we use a small Tripp-lite inverter to produce the needed 115 Volts AC from out small camper's battery pair.

PRO: The unit draws only 21 Watts, per my Kill-A-Watt indicator!! Bottom line; This means a small 12 Volt DC amperage current draw, when using a small DC-to-AC inverter. This TV set draws less current than our previous analog solid-state 5 inch TV set! -Which makes it very acceptable for our battery-powered camper accessories.

CON: I could not locate a SIGNAL STRENGTH indicator in the programming of the TV set!! I have never before seen a digital TV set that did not have this! Bottom line; This makes the adjustment of the camper's directional TV antenna a hit-and-miss situation.

I'd buy this set again! The signal strength appears to be on par or BETTER than our previous camper TV. The picture qu is very good, considering the cost of the unit. The remote is easy to operate. This small, widescreen, LCD TV is just the right size for a bedside table. The picture is sharp and clear, the sound crisp and clean, and the styling is unobtrusive. It also has the added perk of a built-in DVD player. It is very light, only a few pounds, which makes it a candidate for being carried with one hand to other venues. I can see a rabid football fan bringing this little TV to join the bigger picture-in-picture TV to allow the viewing of 3 football games at the same time. The DVD is good for playing how-to video's that really require for you to "do-along-with-me" in order to learn a new skill such as knitting, sewing, fly tying, basket making, etc.
I have found this item to be the most useful and versatile TV I have ever owned. I am sure you can think of just the place for one in your home. It is definitely a very good value.
