We needed to replace an old time tube TV in our kitchen that could fit into an open shelf...and this absolutely did the trick. Resolution and brightness of the picture are very good and we are happy with the purchase. The only thing we do not like at all is the 2" vertical narrow light at the bottom center of the set that glows bright red when the set is off and bright blue when the set is turned on. It is a major distraction in either mode and is completely, in our opinion, unnecessary. Other than that it is a fine value for the price.
