Out of the box to receiving a signal from my rabbit ears was maybe 10 minutes max. Setup was simple. Since this was our first hdtv I actually read part of the manual before setting it up so that slowed me down by 3 minutes. Size is perfect for the kitchen counter, picture is clear and color is astounding. Even an non-HD DVD jumps out at you with picture clarity.
